    Kilts and Knee-high Boots

I've been thinking about getting some of the tall moccasin-style boots made that could be worn with my Utilikilt (like the taller ones at http://www.sodhoppers.com/MocPage.htm). I'm thinking about getting them made up to the same height that kilt socks go, but I don't know how that would look.

Does anyone wear this combo or have a picture of it? Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Why not? I sometimes wear my 20 holes Doc's with my Utilikilts.

I have a pair, and they not only look great with a Utilikilt, but also many tartans.

You see them all the time at Renn Faires, as they can convey a more historical look. But there's no reason you can't wear them everyday as well. I've got a pair on order from Sodhoppers right now.

I borrowed a pair to wear with a kilt to a Renn Faire years ago. It really was a good look. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with a UK.

I like the look of knee high boots, but alas, they are not seen much here in the colonies, but then, neither are kilts - so who gives a toss?

raphael, you look great in your boots, I think you qualify for the Kilted Romantic award.

Simliar to the picture above, I've worn my boots with Ren Faire garb and just for normal wearing around; both with the tartan and with a plain kilt.
