Question Searching for a hard to find pattern...

I'm told there is a Scottish tartan, recognized and registered to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is a combination of the Wilson and Smith tartans (for the founders of the fellowship).

I have had absolutely no luck finding even a picture or description of this tartan but I do know that it exists.

Does anybody know where I might find this pattern and better yet, where I might be able to purchase it?

Haven't heard of that, certainly something to add to my wish list if it exists.

15 years sober thanks to AA...a miracle for a drunk like me.

Shay, we're only anonymous at the level of media...we're not a secret society. A common misconception. Knowing each other lets us help each other.

    It most certainly exists...

A 41 year member of my local fellowship has it but I have not been able to reach her to ask and I has been several months since I have seen her wear it or perhaps I could describe it...but it does exist.

I'm drawing a blank too, but willing to fly to Omaha and ask her about it if you don't soon....drooooooling on the keyboard.

Looking at the Smith tartans and the Wilson tartans they're many variations and all are very busy patterns. Not sure how those two were integrated.

Stumbled across the Skye tartan on tartans by air, a nice blue and yellow that, for me, could represent the colors of the 4th edition Big Book...and being a drunk with ancestry from Skye it kinda fits.

Would guess that the traditions against outside involvement would proclude anything official...sure would be a cool unofficial deal.

Kinda takes out the anonymous part if there's a tartan, don't you think?
