    You guys are great!

My name is Kevin and I live the Denver area. I've been perusing the board daily for a couple of weeks now and thought I would jump in to say, "Hey". Seems like there are a few other members who live in the area as well. That's comforting to know.

I should be officially kilted within days. A Stillwater Standard in Royal Stewart should hit my porch soon and I am having a 5 Yard casual made by e-Kilts in Manx Hunting, that should be here by the end of October. I have been preparing myself for the adventure of kilted life by taking in the valuable insights you all have. I enjoy reading your posts and have learned plenty. I've had a few good laughs as well. Your wealth of knowledge, reviews, experiences and opinions have helped me in ordering my kilts and accessories, and answering many questions I've had. Good stuff!

I really appreciate the way this board is managed and the overall maturity and class of those who post here. My interest is really just in the classic kilt rather than other MUGs, as my Manx heritage is one of the reasons I am exploring kiltdom.

My wife is all for me wearing the kilt and thinks it quite manly. So, I have the support needed there to my advantage. Hope to check in and maybe post a pic or two once the kilts arrive. Be Blessed!

Welcome, Kevin! I must say that you are the first person of Manx heritage I have met! I've always had an interest in the Isle of Man; it never seems to get the "press" that some of its Celtic "sisters" do, and as a "flag buff" (vexillologist), I've always liked the IoM's flag.

    Cheers,

    Todd

Not to go off-topic here, but I believe the IoM has been used as a shooting location for a number of "Celtic" movies, including The Brylcreem Boys, which is one of my favourite "unknown" movies.

I just thought I'd jump in and say welcome from someone who isn't one of the moderators, just so it doesn't seem like that's all who are here.
