    kilts in NZ

My brother is in nz on a mission trip /mission training thing. There is a highland games next weekend (19th and 20th I think) and he wants a kilt. Since I haven't supported his trip, which is paid for in full already, I figure I could help him out with spending money in the form of a kilt. The problems are this: What makers/manufacturers would be at a NZ highland games and would they have off the rack or commission only?

Also my brother has mentioned inflated prices in NZ so how much would a tank or possibly a lighter weight alternative (the mission protion of the trip is in indonesia) to a tank like a utilikilt or something like that be over there? Ok so a UK isn't really a tank alternative but you know what I mean.

I could just order him a UK workmans (a lot of the indo stuff will probably involve labor and not be fun in wool) but the shipping might be prohibitive and not arrive in time for the games.

I need sleep. I have work in 7-1/2 hours and school after that followed by more work.

Google "New Zealand" Kilts and you'll find some, including a rental place which might be the answer for your brother's last minute and brief needs.

Must be some New Zealanders on the board who can help.
