What a neat idea. I wish I had the capability to do that for "The Art of Contemporary Kiltmaking".

Graphically show the entire processof building a kilt, include hints and tips on altering and still have room left over to include some "How to Wear" guidlines and wisdom.

    I wear the kilt because:

I think that's a great idea. I'd be a customer if anyone makes it!

By the way, Steve, how's the book coming? How soon can I order one?

It _is_ a good idea, but doing a high quality DVD is a daunting project! It isn't cheap to do good photography, good videography, good sound and narration, and good editing unless you happen to have someone in the family who has exceptionally good equipment and talent and is willing to donate time. I was lucky in that respect for my kiltmaking book (my husband is a commercial photographer, and I didn't have to pay a penny for the photography in my book). And it truly isn't easy to produce a DVD that looks professional even if you have the right equipment!

Several people have suggested that I include a CD with video clips and stills in the second edition of my book that I'll be doing this summer. I will likely do some test shooting and see what kind of quality we can achieve, but, if it looks amateurish, I'll probably give it a miss.
