    A clash of Tartans

I bought my wife a Welsh Shawl for Valentines Day. Its in the Jones tartan as that what was her mothers side of the family. She intends wearing it on stage at our gigs/ceilidhs. It'll be quite a contrast to my Cilt.
On a sad note, yesterday the older of our two dogs passed away in the early hours. It was very peaceful and we were with her. She was fourteen and had not been well for several months. It was expected but both Elaine and myself are broken hearted. We must give the little one stacks of attention now as she will miss her sister greatly.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of one of your dogs, I understand how you must feel

As to the Shawl, yes a bit of a clash, but I cant get my wife to embrace anything to do with tartan

Very sorry to hear about your dog Derek

It's a beautiful tartan and it's a nice clash...the tartans are completely different, but they won't bite eachother. Elaine will look fantastic wearing this shawl

    Derek,
condolences on the passing of your beloved pet. She will live on forever in your heart.

as for the cilt clashing... simple solution... GET A CILT TO MATCH!!!! woudl impress the hell out of your mother -in-law - which is never a bad thing - and eliminate any visual conflicts
    ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

I know how you feel about your Dog. I have had two dogs pass and I now have a 16 year old cat who is getting on She is starting to walk like a raccoon but she still can jump for her food. I built he a ramp but she still jumps. My dog is only 3 and she has a way to go.

What is wrong with a little clash, don't want things to be dull do you?
It's the music that counts and from the pictures you have posted you don't wear uniforms.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Those of us with pets understand that they are members of our familys - and deserve to be mourned.

Clash of tartans? hmmm..... If I see a field full of kilted men do I think "oh no look at all those clashing colors!" - or do I think "What a grand and marvelous sight!" I say knock their eyes out!

I agree, about your dog and any excuse to get another kilt.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved dog. Dogs have a special place in man's heart. No other domesticated animal so closely integrates itself into our social fabric or can read our emotions as well. Dogs are faithful companions, loving comforters, courageous protectors, and endless sources of unbridled affection. The loss of a dog touches the heart as much as the loss of any other close family member. My heart goes out to you and your family.
