Weathered Lamont Pic?
Since the Stillwater Weathered Lamonts have come on the scene, I was looking for a good pic of the tartan. I only ask because the "squirrel shot" from Jerry makes it appear very brown (on my monitor, anyway) and most of the other Lamont tartans seem green. Tried the tartan finder in the Kilt Store website but Weathered Lamont is notably missing. A google search finds lots of references but no pics....any tips?

This is the weathered Lamont (16oz worsted wool from Lochcarron).

I found that one too - but it seems like the Stillwater has much more white in it - almost like a "dress" tartan?

If it's any help, Jerry has referred to it as "a variation of Weathered Lamont." Maybe it's something he developed with his weavers?
Whatever... If his shipping is up to it's usual standards, you'll have some other pictures to compare with by Thursday, Friday at the latest. I and several others have already placed our orders.

Thanks, guys....I just couldn't seem to find it on the net anywhere.
I actually wasn't sure whether it was, in fact mostly "brownish" or if the photo was taken under the influence of an incandescent light and had the warm tinge that that lighting can have.

"Weathered" tartans are pretty brown if the tartan is dominanted by green in the modern colors, because they replace green with khaki. If there's a lot of blue in a kilt, the dominant color is a slate blue-gray, because they replace the blue with a slate blue-gray. Red is replaced with a dull clay red.
