    Questions from the NON-KILTED

Usually When I wear my kilt, someone asks where are my bagpipes.

To this I answer " I am the designated drinker. Some one has to listen and be able to toast the band". It stops them dead in their tracks every time.

I generally say, "At home" ... but that's a great answer.

like dale, I usually reply "under my kilt".

Sometimes I entertain those asking with a fantastic story about how I was playing my pipes at a wedding. The bride was upset at me for upstaging her with my full Prince Charlie dress, and she broke the drones over my head. That one always gets a laugh or two, after which I have to explain what a drone is.

One of the best replies to the "where are your bagpipes" question came from another Xmarks member whose name has escaped me. I've used it once or twice now myself, always to roaring laughter.

"My bagpipes? She divorced me for calling her that too many times."
