Damn p**ts
Today I rode my bike to work, a little excercise never killed anyone (well I am sure it has but you know what I mean) my wife and I are going to a base ball game with Hosehead and his wife. So I rode home on lunch, packed up my USAKilts Irelands national, sporran belt etc put it in a bag and walked back to work. As I am walking along sweating with the most comfortable garmet in the world in a bag, I realized how much I hate pants. Now I know this could all be solved by just wearing my kilt to work, but I am not quite ready to rock the boat yet. Commonwealth jobs while quite secure can involve a lot of politics and my goal is to last 30 years here and not get tied up in too much of them. Someday after I have been here a few years I will give it a go, but for right now, I just figured I would vent a little.
can't wait until the end of the day so i can change and walk to the game!!

Hey, at least you have the option. I'm still waiting on losing the gut before I can even consider getting a kilt.

I have a solid black SWK in a shipment to Maine. I'm trying to get into it.

I feel ya there. I'm trying to slim mine down a bit before I order or make another kilt. It's hard to postpone an order though

I'm just hoping I can get rid of it in time for the Glengarry Highland Games this August. I'd really like to go, but not in pants. I'd stick out like a sore thumb.

The truth comes slowly sometimes
It's a slow process, but in time we find that the kilt is indeed "the way we were meant to dress" and that can give us the courage (and pride) to push the envelope a bit and declare our freedom to dress as we want (and should).
Yesterday, I "had" to wear a pair of Dockers to work, with briefs, etc. By the end of the day, well, I was really getting uncomfortable. I asked myself, why do it? Today, I'm kilted and comfortable.
But it's also important to stress that it's not just a matter of personal comfort, but of male physiology. Pages have been written on that subject and it's not just some romantic notion. We, as men, really do feel better--physically and mentally--when our bodies are not bound up, tucked in, pinched, overheated, crushed etc.
Well, let's consider ourselves "prophets, crying in the wilderness," hopefully making the way for other guys to discover what we have already.

I'll say it again:
Down with pants!
Up with kilts!
