Rather than hijack the cruise thread I decided to start another one. Gmans going on a six week cruise. How many posts do you predict there will be for him to catch up on?
According to the counter there are 116,077 at the moment, that will give a base to start from.

I'll be conservative and say 1,000.

1000? That's what, 160-odd posts a week for six weeks. There's nearly that on an average afternoon around here....

I'll pick a number out of the air and say 4312. Unless everyone's going on vacation.

My guess:

6 weeks X 7 days/week X 180 posts/day (average) = 7560 for a ballpark. I am going to go out on a limb and say a round 10,000. There is sure to be some hot topic or 2 during 6 weeks that will bump up the average posts.

hmmmm...I could go with the altitude of Denver but 5280 just won't do, there will be much more than that. Let's make an initial stab at 9600.

I predict that Gman will log on to X-Marks the Scot, see the ludicrously high number of new posts, laugh and delete them all before collapsing onto his bed, just being glad to be home.
