    Historic Tiger Stripe AmeriKilt Camo

Was out hiking today...sorta foolish at 97 degrees F, monsoon humidity, and heavy smoke from the fires over on the Kaibab Plateau...

But took a couple pics of my AK Tiger Stripe camo klilt - a great hot weather hiking kilt.

I see now that the camo at AK is digital. New war, new camo.

The rock on the horizon is LeChee' Rock on the Navajo Nation. LeChee' is the Navajo word for the color red. The Rez town that borders Page is called LeChee', AZ. Its pronounced like the "Le" in the word let and the Chee like in the name Chico..with a long tailing e...so "Le Chee eeeeeeee"

Its a jungle camo, but camos up pretty well at distance in the scrub sage.

With the weather getting pretty hot a humid here, I've dropped wearing kilt hose most days. My wife was laughing at me because only my knees have a tan.

I'm not much in the way of contemperary kilts. But, I've always loved tiger-stripe camo. Very cool Ron.

One of the first principles of camouflage: Wearing the wrong camo is worse than no camo.

I do like the kilt Ron. I kind of like the concept of camouflage kilts, although it really wouldn't work too well with the white knees showing.

I did the same thing about dropping the kilt hose when hot while in Germany (yeah, it was really hot in Germany two weeks ago). Kilted in flops might be a no-no but it felt great! I'm a big fan.
