The Cameronians

The Scotsman is running a very interesting article today about the Cameronian Regiment, which disbanded in 1968 rather than be amalgamted. The story has a link to a Cameronian web site, which is well worth the perusal for anyone interested in Scottish military history:

That just makes me mad.

...not the article, the fact that they had to disband or blend.

I read that article. Very informative. The Cameronians traditions would certainly put the wind up many of todays folks, but it's always sad to see long standing and honorable traditions disappear.

Thougt you might like to see a photo of my father ( in uniform) who served in the Regiment during the second world war
