Is this Jonesing?
Hello all,
I stumbled onto the site last week and have been lurking around reading as much of the forums as I can get away with. Seems like a great community here!
I am new to the kilted way of life. And as such I am waiting for my first kilt to arrive. It is a Black UK Original. Sadly I fear the bug has already bit me and my eye has now wandered over in the Stillwater direction as well. My GF would kill me if I ordered a second so soon though!
Outside of our local pipe band I have not seen a single kilted soul in my area. I have been toying with the idea of getting my first kilt for years. And it took a random passing by of two UK wearers in Las Vegas to get the idea back into my head.
I plan on wearing my kilt out for the first time this weekend. There is a Scottish festival and games a few miles from here and it seemed a good "training wheels" type event to break the ice! Wish me luck!
I look forward to talking to you all in the future!
Chris

A Hearty Welcome to the Rabble, Chris!! It is definitely a great community, although there are a few strange folks (self excluded, of course!! ).

This is definitely jonesing, and it sounds like you've already succumbed to the addition. Admission is the first step towards treatment . . . as you've probably seen, we do have a 12-step treatment program . . . and trained counselors, like Riverkilt, are available to assist.

Welcome Chris,
You're doomed lad...'tis a powerful addiction this freedom...
Me, I had four kilts on order before the first arrived...you've got it lad...
There is no cure...beyond induldging the addiction and wallowing in its freedom.
Do consider the USA Kilts casual as a slightly higher priced option than the SWK. The value is solid.

Welcome to X-Marks the Scot from Sunny California. Utilikilts and Stillwater are a great place to start. So you are already ahead of the game for a newbie. Join in, and have fun.
By the by, looking at your moniker I would guess that you must be a Scorpio
