Thumbs up "Kilted Cousins" (Thanks Rocky!)

Every since my cousin Billy laid eyes on my first kilt several months ago, he's wanted one of his own. I've been offering advice and solutions to his jonesing. He is from the Henderson side, and carries the name, so
that was an option. But, the cost of a traditional wool kilt was simply too much for him. Sportkilt does offer the Henderson tartan, but I don't know too awful much about them. Besides that, Billy (much like myself) is very proud of the Irish heritage we share. So, when he saw my Ireland's National from USAK come in a couple of weeks ago, he HAD to have one. I told him the specifics (price, fabric, etc.) And it was perfect for him.

So, Friday night I brought out the tapes and got the lad measured up (knowing what Rocky would need) for a new USAK casual in the Ireland's National. I sent him on his way with a note full of measurements, some basic kilt lingo, and of course USAK's number. He was here a bit ago to let me know he called Rocky Saturday morning. On top of the USAK casual he apparently ordered a pair of green flashes and some cream w/ shamrock hose. He should have the kilt in soon as I encouraged him to pay the extra fee for rush order.

I'm pretty proud of him. He's been in Roswell (no, didn't see any aliens
) all day and he showed me an orange polo, Ireland futball shirt and hat he's bought. He's got the feva!

So, naturally you lot are expecting pictures. In due time; in due time. I'll see about getting him to join the Xmarks fold as well....

Ahhh.... it's all starting to make sense now. When he called, he said that "his cousin" had one and that he wanted one too, but didn't say who the cousin was. Thanks for the referral! I gave the order to Kelly to do as I'm wrapped up cutting material for 84 "off the rack" casuals we have to make for a festival in Sept. He did pay the rush charge, so his order will go out within a week!
