    New hobby

So been a long time since i have posted but I have to admit that i don't get to wear my kilt as much as i would want to. I work in NORAD (cheyenne mountain)
    All miltary contracting and such.

So on to the topic i have a new hobby i have started up Koi ponds!
This is my 1st pond during the construction process. not the best but still a work in progess.

Here is the small mini pond I have that houses some plants and such it pours into the main pond.

Just wanted to drop in and say hey and let some of the folks that are still around what i was up to.

I was wondering about you the other day when I placed my order for a Fraser Hunting kilt from Rocky.

You couldn't find a hobby a little less back breaking?

It looks like you've made a good start. I've got a small pond of my own that I keep goldfish in. I've built a lot of watergardens/goldfish/koiponds at work. If you've got any questions you can P.M me or post them. I'm no "expert", I've just "been there, done that"

    Miah,

It looks very nice. I have a roughly 350 gallon set up using a rubbermaid round horse trough and three lined wine barrels. Nothing but goldfish and minnows and lots of plants. Water gardening is wionderful. There is nothing like the noise and movement a water feature brings to a garden. What you are building looks pretty advanced (1500 gallons?). If you haven't already read it I highly recommend "The Pond Doctor" by Helen Nash

Lots of good basic information for someone interested in water gardening.

I look forward to seeing more installments on your pond.

    Cheers
