Whoa! and Any Kilties in Tampa Bay, Florida?
It's been awhile since I've checked in here and wow! there are a lot of posts. Not sure I can catch up with it all! I probably won't be able to for awhile. I am moving to the Tampa Bay area on 9/21/06. Now, being new there, I wonder if there are more kilt-wearers there than in this overgrown village of Hemet, CA. I'm not sure what to expect as far as reactions--not that I really care, because I'll wear the kilt whether people like it or not.
Why am I moving to Florida? Well, things have worked out famously with that beautiful young babe from work that I was telling you about, two long-lost lovers together at last. At least I know she likes my kilts

I'm not in Tampa, but there are a bunch of kit wearing rabbles over there. Check out New World Celts. www.newworldcelts.org
There are just getting ready for a "Half Way to St. Patrick Day" party next weekend! Should be fun!

dragoninterrupted,
You need to get in touch with the KiltedCodeWarrior. He has just returned to Tampa from Chicago.

Seeing that this is the Tampa thread... does anyone know of a good kilt store in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area? I found one called Celtic Highroads but I can't find an address for it. I'm going to be down there for a wedding and wanted to stop in and see if there's anything I can pick up for my outfit for the wedding... Nothing pressing, just curious. Thanks in advance.

I know Dunedin Scottish has been mentioned on this board before. Kiltedcodewarrior likes the shop.

Holy old threads Batman!
Jamie is correct Jamie, I have been very happy with Dunedin Scottish, although they are no longer located in Dunedin, they are by the fairgrounds in Tampa. I am very familiar with their shop, is there anything in particular you are looking for, or just to browse a local shop?
And let me know when you will be down, maybe we can have an informal kilt night.
