I don't have any kilt pics yet as I jones away for kilt#1. But I thought I might share some of the photos I have taken during my time in Asia.

This first one is the Golden Temple (Kinkakuji) in Kyoto, Japan

This is the Silver Temple (Ginkakuji) also in Kyoto

I think this is a Boathouse from the Imperial Palace grounds again in Kyoto

This is a coworker and me in Doutombori in Osaka on Hogmanay 2004

Kiyomizu shrine, Kyoto again, from below

Todaiji in Nara, the largest wooden building in the world

Inside the hall is Daibutsu (Big Budda) it's huge, I forget how big now...

Just wanted to say thanks for posting these.

I was lucky to spend 4 days in Japan (around Tokyo) a few years ago. And the ache to get back there gets worse everyday!

Super pictures from the other side of the world. We may never be able to visit these places in person but thanks to the internet and those who post their pictures here we can enjoy such sights and learn about such places on the home computer. Very many thanks for posting these superb photos, MacTavish.

I love the pictures of the temples, such a nice setting.

The Great Wall of China is on my top 10 list of sites to see. I WILL get there one day.

After the couple of trips I've made to Europe, there is a certain feeling of satisfaction when you see a location pictured in the media and you can say, "I've been there."
