Non-traditional shoe with hose and flashes

What do you guys think about a shoe like this with hose and flashes...

I'd wear them primarily with my olive drab UK, gray hose, and olive drab flashes (if I can find them)

Kilt hose and flashes need to go with a dressier shoe.

I totally think they'd work. Best way to find is to try it. They're cool shoes regardless.

If it's a style of shoe you feel comfortable w/ I don't see why you couldn't wear it casually. Not a shoe I would ever wear so I can't vouch for it's kiltworthiness. O'Neille

I already own the shoes... they look great with jeans, casual slacks, and the UK, but I haven't worn them with hose and flashes... cuz I don't own any. Just thought I'd see what everyone thought about 'em...

    I have to agree.

Track shoes, tennis shoes, sneekers, running shoes, athletic shoes, just do not look right with hose and flashes.... period. It just looks bad.

I like that to wearing track pants with a white shirt, jacket, and tie... it just doesn't go.

Wear the shoes with pushed down athletic socks.

I don't think flashes but kilt hose pushed down or even socker socks pushed down.

The shoes are good with a UK. Kilt hose without flashes up may work if you need them for warmth. Soccer socks will work too. The flashes suggest a dressier look to me. If you need the garters to keep the socks up you can wear them without the flashes and when you turn the hose tops over it will hide the garters. If you don't need them for warmth go for the shorter socks or push them down.
