Has anyone ever played paintball in a kilt?

I tried it today for the first time and found it interesting but not something I would do again while playing in the woods. My knees ended up quite scraped up as well as my lower thighs. I may try it playing speedball but I was wondering how many others out there do it.

Never played paintball but I gave it some serious thought a while back. Never owned a kilt at that time.

It goes without saying that it should ideally a sturdy kilt. All of the extra fabric flapping around might be a bit of an encumbrance at times.

Also, getting zapped in the back of the knee area would not be fun.

There are some guys on the Sportkilt web site that play in kilts. http://www.sportkilt.com/walloffame.cfm

I definately would not do it in a USA Kilt. Maybe a Stillwater economy or SK or an ebay kilt.

Brave brave lads fighting paintball in a kilt....

I was pelted playing a few years ago...wearing full BDU's....and had to visit a doctor just to make sure I was ok!!!!

I can't imagine playing in a kilt.

RCallan, itsounds like someone on that field was shooting hot. Also, I wore my Black Original UK on the field. Also as a clarifier, I did have the common sense to not go regimental instead I wore a pair of running shorts and very thick socks on my legs to deal with thorns and the like.

True...the guy that got me good was shooting hot...and instead of giving me the chance to surrender he shot me in the kidney from about 5 feet away...

I just cant think about wearing a kilt and giving him that shot!
I would have lost a NUT!
