I know there are some folks here who have been to the bobdunsire.com forums (a piping site).

I wanted to make sure that you were informed that Bob Dunsire, who started and ran the site, recently lost his battle with cancer.

He will be sorely missed.

I actually met the man and his wife a couple of years ago in the mountains here in California. I was wearing my kilt of course, which is what struck up the conversation.

He told me about his website and his family. He was a very nice person, and interested in the modern kilt movement though he wore pants.

I cant say I really ever visited the site more than a few times, or ever really thought about that meeting until now, but he was a genuinely nice guy, and I am sorry to hear of his families loss.
