    Cozumel Rocks!

I just got back from a week in Cozumel, Mexico. I went with my Mom and my Aunt Robin. We went scuba diving and/or snorkeling almost every day. It was my first time diving in salt water. WOW! So much better than fresh water!

Me all kitted out to dive.

No, our hotel was on the west side of the island. We were going to rent scooters and drive around the whole island, but the day we picked to go the only place that wasn't ripping us off for the scooter rental only had one available. Maybe next trip. We kept getting nabbed by the La Mission. so delicious!

Is that Iguana a live one?
Yes he was and he really didn't appreciate me holding him. Someone on another forum metnioned that orange iguanas are males in thier breeding colors, so that made me feel *real* good. Aside from this guy, we saw a couple of wild iguanas hanging out in the plaza but nowhere near this big.

My parents had a timeshare in the Coral Princess (now destroyed by a hurricane to my understanding) in Cozumel about 10 years ago. That is a FANTASTIC place to dive and snorkel. Did you hit the sunken plane from the James Bond movie? Cozumel is supposed to be the 2nd best dive spot in the world (behind the Great Barrier Reef).

Hope you enjoyed the nights at Carlos and Charlies and the town square!

It looks like you had a relaxing time. I've got a meeting there in February if it doesn't get Hurricaned out like last year.
