    What's your best shave.....

I don't know of very many guys (or gals for that matter) that enjoy shaving. The irritation, the rashes, the stinging, the continuous maintenance.... let's face it - it's a pain. Yet it's something we put up with most of our lives.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with it. Seven years ago I decide to let my beard grow a bit, got used to it, and it's been that way ever since. I still keep my neck shaved clean though. I may be old fashion, but I still use a twin blade Schick razor with either Gillette or Barbasol canned shave cream. I don't like perfumes, so I confine aftershave to a bit of rubbing alcohol mixed with water.

I don't much like electric shavers.

If I could get a sgian dubh sharp enough I'd be up to trying that!

    What's your best shave...?

    Hi Blu,

Merkur slant bar double-edge safety razor, block of cheap shaving soap (8 to the tube), scuttle and brush. Seems to work O.K.

I use a Gillette Mach 3 and regular (though unscented)soap, I have been pleased with it for the last 4 years.

    Cheers

Nivea for Men shave gel w/ a throw away triple blade Target razor. Change it out once a week. Followed by Nivea for Men face lotion w/ sunscreen. On the road it's no shaving or just shampoo and a throw away razor. Used to have a beard until it got gray and it had to go.

I'm usually rushing my morning routine, so I usually just bust out the electric shaver in the car on the way.

When I'm not rushing, I use a Mach 3 Turbo (much love to Gillette for sending that out on my 18th birthday a few years back!) with whatever shave gel I get my hands on.

Lately I've just been letting it grow though.
