Good news, bad news
I just got a phone call this morning. My Robertson Red tank has arrived! That's the good news.
The bad news is I'm at work, and am leaving for vancouver in the morning, and won't be able to get there to pick it up until I get back. NOooooooooooooo!
Ah well. I'm not going to be wearing it until the wedding anyways, but it would be nice to try it on.
Additional bad news is I've decided I have to sell my SWK Black Watch after only 2 weeks. It just doesn't fit me properly at all and isn't going to work. See the for sale section for details.

Good luck on that! So what will you be wearing prior to the wedding now that the SWK is going away as well?

In all likelyhood, probably pants. With the wedding coming up, there are a great number of things that need paying for .. and another kilt is pretty far down the list (and even farther down her list). SWK was cheap, so I tried it out, but it didn't work out, so I'll have to make due. I don't want to wear my tank before the wedding because I'd really like it to remain a bit of a special thing for that day, AND I don't want to risk anything bad happening to it before then. Just my luck I'd snag it on something or spill something on it .. happens to me all the time.

Well, that is a shame, but understandable.... I remember getting married once and all of the expense and hassle. Not to mention the stress that you and your bride are under. It will make it sweeter when you wear it for real the first time!

Just a suggestion, but instead of just selling it, why not see if anyone has a SW standard in a size 44 (any tartan) or other kilt they want to trade for your 46. Than you still have a kick around kilt without running the risk of ruining the traditional. Just a thought.

The problem is I don't know if that would do any good. The 44 waist would fit for sure, but the hips would be even smaller, and they're already a bit too small.
I'm afraid I'm doomed to a life of wearing custom made kilts. What a shame ..
