    Kids Kilts

Anyone know where I can get kids kilts for 6 and 9 year olds?
Don't want anything expensive (they are growing fast!), PV would be perfect.

    thanks,

I have been happy with the two kids kilts we bought from Sport Kilt.

I do recommend getting the belt loops though, it would really help with the belt as my son's hips are so narrow.

Unless, of course, you prefer something a little less traditional.

Very easy to make. I recommend using plain fabric for the waistband and adding an extra pleat or so. I use velcro for closure. With the extra pleat you can always let one out and add a little bit of plain fabric waistband and you can extend the investment.

This one was outgrown in about a month.

Or make a couple at once

This one was just made for the "Scottish Christmas Concert"

I just got my son's MacKenzie tartan kilt in PV from MacHummell, and it is perfect. There is a good sized hem for growth, and the velcro closure goes to the back of the kilt for growth in that direction. The pleating is gorgeous and the kilt is really well made. I got the PV so that all the dirt and wear that go with a 5 year old can just be washed away.

I would very highly recommend sending Pete at www.canadiancasualkilts.com and email. I am very happy with my son's new kilt and he just loves it.
