A while back there was a thread about "occupational kilt pins." I made the mention that if I had an occupational kilt pin, it would be an erlenmyer flask because I manage a laboratory. So, one of our members "Blacksmith" was kind of enough to make one for me. I often wear it with my Irish Saffron kilt. But, I think it will go great with my pending Henderson weathered, box pleat and the brown accessories I purchased from Robin a couple of weeks ago.

I don't have any unusal kilt pins Yet. Still thinking about what I would want. Occupation wise, I am a Locksmith and a Locksmith Instructor. Imade a kilt pin for Dirkskene out of an old brass "skeleton" key.

Does anyone have any accessories like the above. wether it be a dirk, sgian dubh, sporran buckle etc: we all have these accessories and many of us will have a similar buckle, kilt pin and the like? but what I personally like!! is seeing something completely unique being worn with the kilt. I really love to see a bit of individuality in Highland dress and if you have an accessory thats a bit different, I'd like to see a photo or hear the story behind, rather than see photo's of mass produced goods What makes your outfit unique???
