Now I gotta start making some bags
This is about half the leather I have in the basement waiting to be cut up into sporrans and sporranettas (for the ladies). The center hide is a forest green, more olivey, but looks brown here. The green and navy i thought would make a nice sporran to go with a Black Watch-based kilt. How about red and black for wallace, Macdonald, etc.? Red and green for a christmans sporran, or to go with Royal Stewart. Not sure about the purple but I really love the color. any other color combo ideas? I have brown and cream as well.

(Then you haven't seen my place, either.)
turpin, how difficult is it to make a soft sporran?
(Oh, right! As if I could ever get past sewing kilts and making pelt sporrans...)
(Be quiet. Give the man time to answer.)
(But there's still only twenty-four hours in a day!)

Oh that purple leather is incredible! I think you ought to do one in that with black.

Wow!
Red and black go well with lots of tartans.
Love that purple as well. Paired with black for a solid-color kilt? Or perhaps black with just a bit of purple inset (analogous to a flash.) Several tartans have a purply stripe and this would pick it up nicely.
Go, Turpin, Go!

If you could figure a way to use the purple for a thistle, you could do a black sporran with the purple as the sides and trip, along with the purple thistle.
