Atop the lookout on Abbey Craig. Yeah, so sue me for wearing jeans. Trust me, the wind would have had ANY kilt up around my ears that day.

Looking back at Cambuskenneth Abbey from Abbey Craig.

If you look just above the treeline beyond the car park, you will be able to make out the 'old' Stirling Brig, with the castle beyond.

A visit to the Monument would not be complete without an image of this icon.

Rugby pitches at Stirling Uni and if you look closely, you'll see a standing stone, right at center.

From atop the Monument, looking east along the Ochils.

Looking SE, in the general direction of the Kincardine Bridge

I told you the wind was howling! Stirling in the background.

The Monument from 'old' Stirling Brig

Another of the Monument from the Brig. Interestingly enough, this area of the River Forth is where the pilings have been discovered for the brig that figured so heavily in the battle.

The Monument from Stirling Castle

A view from one of the hills at Gartmorn Dam, looking over the village of Sauchie.

This was taken from Gartmorn Dam on a subsequent trip. The Monument is out there in the haze, just right of center.
I hope you enjoyed these images.

I hope it's just me and my ISP, but I can't ever seem to see any of your pictures!

They didn't load for me the first few times, but this time they did. Seems some pictures come in quite slowly.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Not sure what the problem is Mike, but, I can't see your pics either. With Ron's, I can't see on our desktop system but can on my notebook (has to be the way the firewall is setup) but I can't see your's on either system. The ones you posted on the other thread I can see fine.
