I Must be Crazy!
It's going to be about 25 to 28 degrees in Downtown Memphis tonight. Gusty winds and cloud cover and all. Snow flurries are expected. Not my kinda weather, period. I'm shivering just thinking about it.
My Uncle has arranged a kilt night at the Flying Saucer tonight. Well, I'm going....in my mini-kilt. I must be outa my mind! Everyone else is wearing their kilts. I've only had one oppertunity so far to wear mine out of the house, so I'm determined against my own will to wear it tonight. I figured I'd be okay once I got there. They usually keep the place nice and toasty for the Beer Goddesses. It's the getting there that's got me shivering, especially the walk through the Tower Parking garage. I'm also planning a visit to my tattoo artist, a short walk from the Saucer.
I hope I'm not going to regret this too much, or become a Dirkacicle.

Can't you borrow a kilt from your uncle to wear over your mini kilt until you reach the venue?

One of the benefits of being female, is that we can wear tights with our kilted skirts. At least we can do so without having to spend the rest of our lives living it down (sorry Graham)
Be well,

I don't own any tights. I don't think I'll have time to get any tonight. I've got to be ready to leave as soon as my husband gets home from work. I actually thought about that and I'm kicking myself for not already having some.

Knowing the usual rabble, she shouldn't have a shortage of volunteers.

Or, heaven forbid, wear your jeans into the saucer and change once there!
(I must admit that the description of a Dirkacicle cracked me up!)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
