First Day at New Job; a good story-
Well I'm not in a kilt today, but I thought you might all enjoy this anyway.
So I show up at 9:00 AM to start my first day. After about 15 minutes of signing papers, making sure I have e-mail and so on, my boss decides he's going to introduce me to a few of the people in the main office. I meet Rose and Jim and Paul. Rose is the Dept Secretary, Jim is the Associate Director of the Center and Paul is the Director, Emeritus.
OK, so Paul starts talking about his laptop.. Darnit, he just had lunch with Steve Jobs two weeks ago and Steve gave him this new laptop and he's been trying to get it to talk to his new printer at home, but it's not working. So my first assignment in my new job is to get Pauls laptop to talk to his home printer. I asked him a few questions and figured out that he used............
Wait, did you say that you had Lunch with Steve Jobs and he gave you this laptop?
Yes.....
oh.
OK, so I helped Paul out with his laptop. I downloaded the printer driver and installed it, then he went into the Print Manager and selected the correct printer for his default. Great. There's one little detail I left out.
Paul is Paul Berg, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, 1980.
Ah, nothing like starting at the top.

So what kind of laptop did Steve Jobs gave to your boss? Was that a prototype of some kind?
