    Ham is offline

Ham has called me to let you all know he is not ignoring you, but has a problem with his PC and cannot get on line. As soon as this is fixed normal service will be resumed.

Probably used all the space on his Hard Drive, and still couldn't get all of them uploaded

The phone is fine, he called me, a local call, to ask me to post and let you all know he will be back ASAP.

I will be going over there to try and resurrect the PC for him. There is a lot of stuff on it he is anxious not to lose.

Since they've gotten so inexpensive, it would probably be worth his while to get one of those auxilliary hard drives that attaches to the USB or firewire ports and back up his essential files....I'm running three of the things now and it's very reassuring.

An external drive is a definite possibility, or we may replace the PC. It is old and struggling. At the very least we have to reinstall the op sys from scratch. He is currently burning CDs of all his photography, which might take some time . FWIW, even with an external drive, "permanent storage" is a good move. I have personally witnessed a USB drive take a smallish knock and become inoperable. Luckly there was a duplicate.

while that may work, that would seriously impact his Kilt Fund, which we all know just won't happen!
