Tartan day kilt nite in Atlanta?

I thought there was a thread about this by TheScot, but couldn't find it. If there isn't we can't let the day pass w/o a get-together. Especially on a Friday nite.

Well If there isn't one already set up (i could swear TheScot talked about it), I'm going to suggest Johnny McCracken's on the Square in Marietta. It is a old firehouse turned into a Celtic bar. Good atmosphere, good food, a draft list as long as my arm, bottle list as long as my leg, and a list of single malts as long as my ..... well, it has 23 single malts. I'll leave the math to your imagination.

Not that hard to get to (no harder than me going to the Loafing Leprechaun). However, if this is too far for most, I'm open to something more central. It's just that the prices look good here, and the atmosphere is better than the LL was, I think. Wherever we end up I suggest starting a bit later than last time to avoid the Friday rush hour traffic. Is 8 p.m. OK?

Looks like it may just be you and me Jonathan. It was awfully inconsiderate of the Church to schedule Good Friday on the same day as National Tartan Day. I shall have to write a strongly worded letter to the Vatican!

You know, of course, that local Cardinals of the RC Church do often grant dispensations from the Friday rules so that Corned Beef can be served when St. Pat's (or the annual Order of Hibernians' St. Pat's Eve dinner) falls on a Friday?
