    Virginia Tech

Today at Virginia Tech a terrible act of Violence injured and took the lives of many promising young people. Moments of senseless loss make us question a lot of things. Perhaps the only good to come from such evil is it makes us remember what is really important in our lives.

Our thoughts are with the friends and families of the victims.

Anyone wishing to share their thoughts or grief in this thread are welcome to do so.

But arguments are not appropriate or welcome.

    Respectfully

As a Va.Tech graduate and father of two boys in college, words cannot express the way that this has hit me.
I'm an 18th century guy born into the 20th century and have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

I'm in college now, and I can't imagine how I would react if that happened here.

    Simply horrific.

Please keep her in your prayers

My sister-in-law (Chandra) is a senior at VA Tech (she's graduating next month) but fortunately she was off campus when the shootings took place this morning. We're all very concerned for her as she's shook up by the situation. She still doesn't know if any of her friends are among the deceased.

Please keep Chandra in your prayers. Thank you.

She'll be in my prayers, and no doubt, in everyone else's. What a terrible thing. A black day for the country, and especially for the familys of the murdered.

MacSimoin, glad your sisterin law was of campus, and I hope she is doing as well as can be expected.
