    gadget help...Tattoobradley?

Hey Bradley...do you know anything about the Archos line of media players? I had one and recently picked up another..this new one has a small camcorder built in. Apparently it records video in the mp4 format.
What I'm wondering is if I can transfer the video to my pc?
I can get the audio portion of the file to play with the windows media player, but instead of the video, it just shows a screensaver type visual.

    Any ideas??

I don't believe the Windoze Media Player supports the playback of the mp4 format, until you've installed the DirectShow-compatible MPEG-4 decoder packs.

Somebody kick me aside if I am wrong.

You could try doing a search for the VLC player, I think it would work for you and I am almost sure that you can find it for free.

aha....i think that's the better option Mcmurdo, rather than install a bunch of codecs I may not otherwise need...a new player that supports mp4 is prolly best.

If VLC doesn't work for you I'd suggest Winamp. Free, easy to use and plays almost anything.
