    Welsh Cilts in France

We have been away for the past 5 days. The Breton Folk Rock Band that Elaine works with as often as she can, were invited to headline the 'Nuit Inter Celtique De Rennes'. Its a celtic evening of music and song. Several pipe bands were there and Irish Dancers. On their last number all the pipe bands came together either on or around the stage to join in with them. .. they were all well rehearsed. I have heard them loads of time but its still awesome to hear a folk rock band giving it their all and 150 plus pipers blasting it out as well. It was a really fab night. Prior to getting the train to Rennes, we spent some time in Paris first. I tried to cover as much ground as I could to get some pics. So early the first morning Elaine, my mother and myself set off.

Out side the Hotel in Rennes .. this lady who was also staying here asked to have her picture taken with me 'in my costume'. I did'nt bother saying anything.

No Cilt in this one (as Elaine had gone off for a rehearsal and sound check for the gig), but a pic from the old part of Rennes.

Checking the lighting systems the night before the concert

It was also going to be recorded for television

The gates opened at 8pm and the people started to come in

The pipers and eveyone joined in the last number ..

One of the pipe bands was 'The British Airways Pipe Band'. Their tartan is 'The British Airways Tartan'

Thats all I took .. I will try and upload a short video of some of the show as well
