Anyone a Member of the SCA?
I just thought that since a bunch of us are interested in the same things, there are probably quite a few of us that are members of the SCA as well. If you could just post here if you're a member, and what Kingdom/Barony/Household that you belong to I think that'd be cool.
If anyone else out there is, we'll have to try and hook up for a pint or something at upcoming events.
I currently belong to the Kingdom of Atenveldt and the Barony of Twin Moons. I am also a member of House Schadenfreude.

Kingdom is Atlantia, Barony of Knottinghill Coil, Canton of Falcon Cree though I also interact with the Canton of St Georges.
Currently working to get up to snuff on archery, trying my hand at mead and cordial making and getting my garb back in order after a long absence.

Very cool and well met. My brother has been brewing mead for about 7 years now. He's won multiple gold/silver/bronze metals in the arizona state fair for his mead. Him and I are actually starting our own legitimate brewing company here in the next year called Sonoran Scotsmen Brewery. Our ultimate goal is to have a bar/brewery like 4 peaks in Tempe, Arizona. A place where we brew and people can come and drink as well. We should all have a mead tasting party at the next Estrella, just for fun. If nothing else we'll all have fun.
Cheers!

I've wanted to go to Estrella for a number of years. Something always seems to come up to prevent me going. One of my best friends runs Heralds Point so maybe this year he will get me out there.

Hi, Ayin.
Ian Cradoc, aka Iain Caradoc, also from Atenveldt.
Former Deputy Kingdom Sheriff, among other things. If you're on the Aten List, you've seen my posts.
I know a few of the Schadenfreude crowd, but your name's not familiar.

I was a member of Socially Challenged Adults in the early days, back when the Texas Renn Fest was just a bunch of us camped by the lake, whacking each other with sticks. But like many things, cowboy action shooting comes to mind, it started to get a little too 'organized' and rule heavy for my taste, with dress-up becoming more important than the 'field events' for many people.

Well, you can't know everyone. I've been in Schadenfreude for about 8 years now, and not as a ghost member either. This last Estrella on Friday I was the only Schadenfreude member on the field actually wearing our household colors.
I am also currently the major domo for the household. I don't get involved in the kingdom's politics or regular ongoings so much anymore, and pretty much only familiar with the barony of twin moons and my house, so I don't belong to the Aten List because I don't need another 1000 emails hitting me on a regular basis.
Well if you're out at Highlands War, or Great Western here soon, i'll look you up and have a pint w/ you if you'd like and formally introduce myself. Cheers until then.

I got out when I realized that too many of the people around me were taking it far too seriously. When you start to forget that you're not really lord soandso, but actually just Mike from the gas station, it's time to touch bases with reality.
Still, I remain friendly with a number of SCAtians, and your brewery / pub sounds like a nifty idea.
