Five weeks with no kilts on order - that took a lot of willpower
Yesterday was exactly five weeks since the "final" kilt arrived. Been a difficult time, tense and agitated with withdrawal symptoms, craving new tartans in every waking hour. So I've finally yielded to temptation this morning and ordered kilt #18, a traditional wool kilt in University of Glasgow tartan, ordered through the university shop. I took my law degree at Glasgow University, and studied there from 1969 to 1973 and my wife is a native of Glasgow. Estimated delivery time for new kilt 6 weeks.

Alex - you're a former Jaycee. Did you know there's a Junior Chamber International tartan? I'm a former Jaycee and a current JCI Senator. If I ever have too much money in my hands, I just might get a kilt made up in that.

Well Alex, it's good to see you finally came to your senses. 6 weeks is a quite a long, dry spell.
Now, during that time did you not order, buy, barter for, or otherwise acquire any kilt-related accessories (excluding day-to-day clothing like shirts)?
I have found that getting the occasional kilt-knack here and there is like methadone maintenance - It keeps the Jones away but doesn't get you high.

No, I hadn't heard of the Jaycee tartan. I'd imagine it could be quite popular as many of the Scottish Jaycees are into town twinning in a big way and always wear kilts at twinning events whether home or abroad.

OK, I confess, I bought a new pair of black brogues during my kilt buying fast.
