OK, I think I got the disease

    O.K boys, I think I'm hooked.

It all started out with me wanting to take some of the US tax dollars that you all have been paying me to travel half way around the world the world and buy something I've always wanted, a kilt in the Montgomery tartan.

Well that resulted in my buying my first outfit from Scottishkilts.net. (5 yarder, Lovet blue jacket and vest and a load of accessories).

Well I had a bunch of questions and I started reading this forum. Well the next thing you know I decide that I can't really wear a Montgomery kilt with my US Army Mess Jacket, that would be mixing civilian and military clothing (against AR 670-1) so I buy a prince charlie.

Well I realize that a prince charlie won't really work for my Battalion Dinning in or the Military Ball so I buy a Sport Kilt in US Army Tartan. Now I realize that won't be near dressy enough so I think that I'll have to buy a SemiTrad from Rocky in US Army.

Well today I ordered 3 kilts from Stillwaters as the prices were just so darn good.

Now Just to be fare I feel like I have to buy a kilt from the Wiz.

I do a lot of leather work so I've bought some badger, skunk and 'coon pelts to make sporrans out of.

Of course I still, as of yet, not bought a good old 8 yard tank in Montgomery Modern. Maybe that will be my reward for my next combat tour in a couple of years.

I would say you're hooked alright, but look at it this way it could be worse, being hooked on kilts will not affect your health, it will effect your wallet but not your health.

I disagree. It can only improve your health! (You know what the Doc says about keeping things cool down there...)

I'm sorry - what was the problem again? What you describe seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Ya think that's bad? At home I have 4 yards of Campbell Ancient/Grant Hunting Ancient 16 oz, 3 yards of X Marks the Scot.com 16 oz, and 4 Yards of Douglas Modern 11 oz. In the mail/UPS is 10 yards of MacDonald of Sleat 16 oz and 69 yards of Gordon Modern 18 oz. I'm awaiting 4 yards of X Marks tartan like everyone else who ordered. And I don't even make kilts!

FWIW, a goodly bit of that Gordon is earmarked for the Georgia Chapter of the H.O.G. to resell for fund raising, and 4 of the Macdonald for a friend.

I know the feeling, just waiting for my wife to come along a bit further, then look out! Maybe my new sporran from A Hay will arrive today, then I can order a brown belt from Cavscout.

It is amazing what some of us consider "normal."

Gee, thanks guys. I knew you would understand. I'll be able to do a great side by side review when I get home.
