Went to the Celtic Faire weekend in June and it was a blast.

Is the Scottish weekend the same type of event? Are there outside vendors or is it just the perm Renn Faire vendors?

    Thumbs up

I am on the mailing list for the Renn Faire and received this email today regarding discounts for the "Scottish Weekend"

    Brian

    ------------------------------------------------------------

You've enjoyed the Cletic Fling, now we'd like very much for you to experience the marvelous fantasy of the Faire. To encourage just that, we're offering you a $10 discount from the regularly priced adult castle gate admission of $27.95, valid just for this upcoming weekend's Highland Gathering.

So, when you purchase your ticket from the Virtual Box Office, you'll automatically save $3 with our already discounted $24.95 e-ticket. Plus, you'll save another $7 by entering the promotional code: CELTIC10

    http://www.parenfaire.com/VirtualBox...lBoxOffice.htm

    Highland Gathering Highlights:

    Charlie Zahm - Scottish Crooner
MacKay Pipe Band - parading about the Shire
Men In Kilts Competition - great prizes
Highland Games - volunteers only so come compete
Haggis Eating Contest - not for everybody
Sheepherding Demonstrations - Highland Border Collies at Work
License To Kilt - a bloody history of Scotland by Toronto's Academy of Film & Performing Arts
From the Royal Kitchens - Scotch Eggs, Lochness Seafood Chowder, Lamb Trenchers, Mince & Taddies and more!
From the Brew Pub - Scott'land Terror Ale
From the Informistress - $4 OFF any T-Shirts from our exclusive Executioner's Closet line
Wolgemut - high powered pipes and drum, referred to by some as the Renaissance Rock Concert

Again, this special discount applies only to September 15 and 16's Scots Highland Gathering at the Faire. Hope to see you here!
