SOKS August post-Fergus

Scoutniagara has already made a suggestion for the September SOKS gathering, so I thought I would bring up the post-Fergus August suggestion again -

The Buffalo Irish Festival - August 24, 25, & 26 at the Hamburg Fair Grounds, just south of Buffalo off the I-90. I'm planning on being there Saturday with my brother (sort of a birthday present for him), but I have Friday and Sunday nights off as well, if those work better for the other SOKS.

My problem is that it's on the weekend, and even though I loved Fergus I don't think I can take another weekend off work so soon.

Well, Grant, I was going to say that it should be safe, but they did mention kilts among the vendors ... but it won't be anyone from here, so you should be fairly safe ...

Glen, if you can make it down, good. If not, there's always SOKS in September.

The kilt night that wasn't.
Oh, well, maybe next year. And I'll have to check the Shannon Pub, which catered the festival, for a possible SOKS Buffalo Kilt Night.
And Grant would have been safe - no kilt vendors. Just the kilts that Jimmy Carbomb was giving away out of the trunk of his car.
