A little painting I just finished
Hi folks!
I paint as a hobby when I get some spare time and I thought I would share one that I just finished.
This is Castle Eileen Doonan in early morning light. The actual painting is 12X24 oil on canvas.
You folks that live there can tell me if I captured it. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Thanks!!
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!

There is no doubt where that is!Although I cannot see the WW1 German field gun that should be visable from this view! Only joking! It is much better with you capturing the scene with the tide in.Well done.

JimB,
Can't comment on how close you got to the real thing, b ut it is a great painting, and it makes me wish I was there.
Cheers,

Love the colors, but as someone who has visited Eileen Donnan several times, my recollection of the causeway is that it slopes up more from the shore to the castle than you show.
And as this is now the home of Clan MacRae I really appreciate the picture.

Love the painting. I wish we had more painters on the forum.
