Kilted Final Exam Fun!!
Well, it is final exam week at the seminary. Most all of our profs do oral exams (to prepare us for oral comprehensive exit exams, I believe). One unique professor gave us a review list to study, the procedure being that we prepare one question ahead of time and we draw one at random (making us be prepared to discuss any and all of the questions)...here comes the unique part...
Question number 13 said, "Demonstrate a talent that nobody knows you have". Needing some fun in my life, I dressed up in a Wallace kilt, black hose, red flashes, white band shirt, black vest, black argylle, black tie and black Glengarry (i.e. band uniform). I hauled my snare drum and harness all the way across campus and up six flights of stairs (in the snow, up hill both ways...tee hee!) to meet Father Professor. Totally out of breath, I took a couple of minutes before knocking on his door.
When I walked in, he had a totally shocked look on his face, to which I replied, "Question number thirteen, and I'd give me an A just for my outfit!!" "Why ARE you dressed like that?, he inquired. "It is my Scottish pipes and drums band uniform", I answered.
He still looked totally shocked, so I said, "Question number thirteen, demonstrate a talent that nobody knows you have", and I proceeded to play a snare drum solo (even though I usually play tenor).
STILL looking astonished at what had just occurred, my prof exclaimed, "I've never had ANYONE take me up on question number thirteen!"
We went on with the random draw question and discussion, then he helped me get my drum into its bag and I hurried off to my next exam.
I must say, that was certainly THE MOST FUN I've ever had at the seminary!! My professor is probably still looking surprised! I told my next prof the story of what had just happened, and he just smiled a huge smile and said, "That is GREAT! That is Great!"
I bet they are looking forward to my graduation in May!!

It's always amazingly good fun when one can shock the establishment and do it in good taste at the same time.
Well done!

I guess nuns never procrastinate like I do, because I would have gone for Question 13 each and every time I saw it

And to do it in a Wallace tartan. Good for you.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
