If anyone cares...
I just happen to be in southern GA. St. Mary's to be exact. I'm about 40 minutes or so from Jacksonville, FL. I'm at the King's Bay Submarine Base, and I have my Irish National with me and ready to go. If anyone cares to meet up for a pint or two, drop me a PM.

A pleasure indeed sir. I am a retired submariner who spent his last 9 years of service aboard boats home ported in King's Bay or on shore tours there. I love the area and still have a daughter and son-in-law living there.
Sense retiring I have relocated to Portland Or. , home of the greatest collection of microbreweries in the world.
Welcome aboard from a new member of the rabble.
Hrmmm okay, its early and I havent had coffee, you are the regular here, and I am the new guy. Have a great day in any case. < bleary eyes search for steaming mug.>

Blazn, you're on the wrong end of the state for me, but if you make it to Atlanta, let us know.
Enjoy your time in the balmy South. The weather's gotta beat ME in February.

Well... I won't be staying here too long. The fast boat I'm assigned to is headed out on sea trials after a DMP, soon. I'm going to meet the boat here when she pulls in for a weapons onload and some "warranty woork." When all that's done, we'll be headed back to Hawaii.

Well, I'm not a new member, but I'm not as regular as some. I am well established with the rabble. I have a kilt for each day of the week, and am always jonesing for more.

I had an hour layover there, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. The next time I am in the ATL, I'll give you a shout.

I'm running around in jeans (or a kilt) and a t-shirt here. No jacket required. Back in ME, it's too cold for regular kilt wearing and a heavy coat is a must.
I didn't even pack a coat for this trip. I left the coat I was wearing with the wife when she dropped me off to head to the airport. No room on the submarine for something I certainly won't be needing at our final Hawaii destination.
