    Virtual tartan weaver ?

    This is _a lot_ of fun to play with! Just realize that what tartan looks like on the screen in a tartan-generator is typically quite different from what the tartan actually looks like in a woven piece. Most especially, colors are typically not as vivid and "clear" as they are on the screen. This is particularly true in the blocks where warp and weft of different colors cross.

    And, if anyone is thinking about designing a tartan that will be used in a kilt, fly it by a kiltmaker before you get too far. It's easy to design a tartan that is a bear to make a kilt from.

    thats the one i've been playing about with, i'm making quite a few tartans to show strathmore some ideas of what i'd like, then she'll hopefully fix it to be better for making a kilt & as a tartan as a whole.
