Research paper on Kilt discrimination, your help is needed!

So for my highschool psych class we are writing short essays on discrimination. The paper is supposed to be something that I am discriminated for. I thought, well, I am not black, I am a huge nerd, I am a bit on the pudgy side, KILTS! thats it, people who say things about the kilt. atleast it would be interesting. So, officially I am going to be writing about "Discrimination Of Men And Unbifurcated Clothing". the one stumbling block, that I have is, I need actual reasearch data that people are discriminated for wearing a kilt. So, if any of you know of ANY info please shoot it my way! I will be posting this to the forum when I have finished the essay, and who knows it might even be good enough to be added to the kilt articles page.

Now, if you think this is rediculus then do tell me so, but I know from my kilt days that people no matter where I am (highland games are the exception) make comments about my sexual oreintation.

    Thanks!
    ~Casey

    Have you tried google?

I'm not sure if there is actual data on it, I don't think so at least.

haven't tried google, as google is blocked from school computers, and I don't feel like getting in trouble from brute forcing my way around the proxy blocker.

    Hey kiddo,
    Just an FYI.
Your Guidance Counselor's computer is probably not blocked.
Usually, if you ask (nicely) they will let you on their puter or an office computer to look things up.
Sometimes they will even get you out of a boring class to do some important kilted research.

There was a case (and likely more than one) of a gent who was banned from wearing his kilt to his senior prom.

On a personal level, the only grief I ever get about the kilt is either friendly ribbing, or the odd jerk who says something in passing, but they are usually driving by in a car or some other such thing (showing both their ignorance AND their cowardice).

Wasn't there a thread in the "Media" section on a guy not allowed entrance because he wore a kilt?

It seems to me there has recently been some restrictions on kilts in one of the European countries. It was brought on by a few troublemakers who happened to be kilted.

You may have a problem finding specific instances. Usually, it is more a matter of peoples attitudes, not overt actions.
