    Aww man, let the Jones'ing begin!!

    Well, I just ordered my Barb T Kilt in Modern Young.

    I decided to go with a box pleat in the 16oz fabric and she assured me I'd have it by this year's Celtic Classic (in September)!!!!

    I never told my wife I was getting it either...lol. I'm going to be in so much trouble, you may not hear from me again but as a [softening blow] surprise to her, I am also having Barb make 5 matching ladies' sashes out of the 10oz fabric.

    My wife and each of my 3 daughters will get one and the 5th is a present for my Mother. Times are tough for her and even though she'd like one, she simply can't afford one...so now she will have her own. Now all I have to do is get my women brooches to couple the sash at their waist.

    I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to getting it, it's not even funny!

    ::shudder::....::twitching::......::heavy breathing::.......

    Congratulations on going for the perfect custom fitted hand sewn kilt of a lifetime.

    It is all well worth being very patient. Barb's kilts are a work of art that takes careful attention to detail, and she does. So it takes time.. Use the time well to get the brooches and prepare the other half for the surprise.

    Poor fellow, you've got a high quality kilt on order. Good call on getting the sashes for the women of the family, especially your mother. You have time to search for brooches to either have them all match or one to represent each one's personality. You've got work to do. Congratulations.

    Thanks. I'm not really a fan of the weathered...I don't like the colors much. I chose the Modern because I like the pattern much better. There was another designed with the Modern and is modeled similarly to the Christina Young...but Me and Robin's egg Blue don't work well together...lol.

    thanks all. I may get Crest Brooches or some of the ones on ebay...I already have a Clan cap badge for my Glengarry and was thinking some of those. My only reservation is the pin and clasp are kind of small and I don't think that attachment would survive my children...lol.

    I think I made a wise Kilt choice but now the waiting game begins -.-
