The Art of Kiltmaking as a e-book?
Really don't know who to ask. Would it be possible to purchase the book in E-book form (PDF)? That would be the way to make "shipping" easier and cost more friendly.

Best thing for you to do would be to go to Celtic Dragon Press or talk to the author Barb Tewksbury about that.

a week is not a bad turnaround time. Patience is, after all one of the Cardinal Virtues.

Several people have asked about this, and I'm not planning on doing it any time soon. I have about 3500 hard copies left from the 2nd printing run, and I'm reluctant to post a pdf of the whole book that could easily be copied and sent around.
Having said that, I have many times emailed pdfs of the first couple of kiltmaking chapters to someone who has ordered a book and is really anxious to get going immediately. I'm still more than willing to do that.
And you'll notice that the one week turnaround mentioned above is from Deansboro, NY to Slovenia!!!

I second that response. I have a friend who made the mistake of making her item into an e-book and she lost a lot of sales. An e-book, although an excellent choice for many, is just too easy to share and, for lack of a better word, "pirate".

Pdf's have their limits.
They're just not cozy enough for bedtime reading. It's tough to scribble or sketch in the margins.
Autographs just aren't that nice in digital....

I'm not sure an e-book would ever be the right answer for The Art of Kiltmaking. I can't imagine trying to juggle a bunch of fabric in my lap - thread and needle - and a computer! Yes, one could print the e-book out but that would cost a fortune by the time you get it printed and spiral or comb bound - and trust me friends a "lay flat" binding is a must for this very informative book.
I guess some things are worth the wait.
Cheers!
