Oh No, Flood waters at KC Highland Games

Yes, they are sandbagging the park where our Kansas City Highland Games are scheduled to begin in a week. They are expecting 1 to 4 feet of flood water from the Missouri River overflowing it's banks this week.

The horror, throwing a caber in knee deep water... Walking with a kilt hiked up above the knees... Beer cups floating by, empty... Haggis (nothing needs more be said)...

The only good thins is that my wife and I are bartendingint:
P.S. all tips go to the highland games.

I was there this morning and I didn't see sand bags yet and the river wasn't far from the walk. But the river was rising and some of the sidewalks had water standing in them. I'll be sure to wear bug repellent because by then there may be mosquitoes.

Does a caber ever stick in the ground?

Yes, the caber never sticks in the ground long...
