Bonnie Knee Competition
The best Scottish Game, for all ages and athletic ability.
Three ladies (the older and friskier, the better) are picked from the audience. They are blindfolded and sit on chairs. Each has an assistant who takes notes as the lady feels and judges the knee of each man who walks through the line. At the end, they compare notes. The gentleman who is deemed to have the "bonniest (bonnie-est not bony-est) knee" wins.
Anybody who's participated has a great story to tell about it. Perhaps even a prize.

It is judged based on opinion, with no real criteria for what a bonnie knee is.
Feel free to post your stories, variations, or opinions.

I assume only a one legged gentleman can enter this event?

I was asked to compete in the bonnie knees competition at the Glasgowlands Scottish festival in central MA last summer, but the thought of having random anonymous women fondling my knees made me feel like a cheap tart so I declined.

And that, my man, is exactly why I want to participate! I freely and proudly claim to be a cheap tart.

This was taken from the Franklin "Taste of Scotland" festival this past weekend. Unfortunately, I did not win it.... Dang.... But the lassies doing the judging were worth the event!

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I read that as "boniest".. until you explained it. Sounds like a cool game.
