Prosser WA--June 21
8th Annual Scottish Fest & Highland Games
On Saturday June 21, it's Central Washington's Premier Scottish Fest and Highland Games held at the Prosser Wine & Food Park on Lee Road in Prosser.
Traditional food, Scottish vendors, Celtic Music, Highland Dance Competition, Pipe Bands, Clan Tents, Highland Heavy Athletic Competition, arts & crafts, children's activities and more all set in the beauty of Central Washington.
Looks like I'll be able to go this year. Will be wearing a blue XMarksthe Scot T-shirt.

My son and I did attend. As Bub was in charge of the camera, I am quite certain that he got some pics of the comely Lady athletes a couple of whom were quite awesome in the their athletic prowess. I am not sure how the events turned out but I did see a couple of "sheaf tosses" that were jaw dropping.
I will check to night to see if there are any good pics...by the by I was quite pleased with the venue and the participants as well as the organizers.

I did get to go. I was not able to compete though. I was told the field was full. I got there at about 10:30 and found out that someone did not make it, and I could have competed if I would have been on time. Doohh! John did set a new field record of 72' 7.5" in the LWFD, tied the WF record of 15', and holds the record for open stone. On the WFH he knocked the bar off of 16', too bad they can only go up in 1 foot jumps. Beanne did great, in fact both took First overall in their respective catagory. Breanne hit 14' in the womens WFH and finished with a cartwheel and 2 back handsprings. The results are posted on NASGAWEB. Not to mention it was super windy, raining and some lightning and thunder at the end. Unfortunately I was about 2 hours into my drive when I realized that I left my cameras at home! Bummer.
