Stillwater Kilts disapointment
Well, I hate to be bearer of bad news but I've just received my second SWK kilt (super fast like my first one).
Problem is, even though the size and model are the same as my first one, this new one is slightly over 4 inches larger than the one I ordered, and compared to my first one (as I laid the new one on top of the old one) same size and model.
And I mean big, I put it on, secured the straps to the tightest setting and I still ended up with a huge amount that I had to fold..it looked horrible. When I let go of the fold...the kilt fell off...it was hilarious how much bigger than the size the tag says it is.
And to make matters worse, I was at work when the mail delivered it so my wife unwrapped the rest of my order and since the kilt was the same size as the old one, removed the basting stitches ( I know, mortal sin) so now here I am all ready for an event tomorrow and no kilt to go with (my old one is a solid black).
shucks!
The rest of the order was fine. So that is that.
I just placed another order for a one size smaller kilt hoping this one will fit.
If anyone wants it, I'll place an ad for it in the right section of the forum as it is just unfit for me to wear.

Send Jerry and email. Since the kilt was mismarked, it may not matter that the basting stitches were removed. Even then I seriously doubt he would leave an unhappy customer. It just isn't his way.

That's very unfortunate. My only kilt is an SWK and, unfortunately, it is slightly smaller than the size says. But then again, I've had it for three years, and my mother got the measurements incognito, so...
It still fits fine, it's just snugger than I like. I'd buy yours, but it's too big; I'm a wee boyo.

I would mail Jerry, from what I've read he's a big guy for looking after his customers. Shame the basting stitches got removed though.........
Hopefully the SWK transporter is working and you get your new order super fast!

DO contact Jerry - I'm sure he wants to know when kilts are mis-marked. I would be surprised if he didn't find some way to help out here.

As others have already said - Contact Jerry, he's a class act and he will do his best to make things right,

Do rest assured that the first thing I did was send an email to Jerry about it, at about the same time I placed the new order for a smaller kilt.
I just wanted to share my experience as I have read some good ones (including myself with my first SWK kilt) and some bad ones.
I have to admit that my first vain thought when I tried the new one on was 'dayum I've lost some weight!, this is great!'.
haha, sadly that was not the case. im still the same big'un.

One thing I have learned with Stillwater, is no matter what Jerry will take care of his customers in epic fashion. No matter what, he wants a happy customer and he does what he can to make sure that happens.

Ah man, sorry you had a bad experience this time. I just got my first SWK this week, and I love it. Hope your next one turns out correctly.
